What a week away actually costs, country by country
Benchmark daily prices for retreats across ten countries, and how to read a price that looks too good.

Retreat pricing looks chaotic until you translate everything into a price per day. Industry venue budgets run roughly 120 to 180 dollars per person per day at standard four-star level, and 200 to 320 dollars at premium level, before instruction, transfers and margin.
As a guest, that translates to honest retail prices of roughly 150 to 280 dollars per day in Southeast Asia and Morocco, 250 to 400 dollars in Portugal, Spain and Mexico, and 350 dollars upward in Greece, Costa Rica and the United States. Hawaii averages over 3,000 dollars per retreat; Illinois under 500. Geography is most of the price.
A price far below these bands has to be coming from somewhere: shared rooms sold as retreat intimacy, unqualified instructors, uninsured drivers, or food budgets that get very creative by day four. Ask what's excluded, and ask what the single supplement is. If the answer to the second question is a groan, you have learned something important.
Every Sola route publishes its price with the single room included, because pricing solo travellers as awkward halves of a missing couple is the oldest bad habit in travel.
Our full country-by-country table, with early-bird windows and payment plan options, lives on each route page. Numbers first, sunsets second.
