On this route

  • Sunrise yoga in the shala

Open-air, ridge-top, all levels. The mist burns off the terraces halfway through practice.

  • Balinese healing sessions

Two included one-to-one sessions with a healer our team has sat with personally; expect massage, energy work and very direct advice.

  • Campuhan Ridge walk

The classic grass-spine walk out of town. Go at 6:30am before the heat; 90 minutes round trip.

  • Tegalalang and waterfall day

Rice terraces first, then Tibumana or Kanto Lampo falls. Bring sandals that can swim.

  • Digital-detox track

Optional. We hold your phone and hand it back each evening, or not at all. Roughly half the group does it by day three.

Included

  • Own room, no single supplement
  • Airport pickup
  • All breakfasts and welcome dinner
  • 24/7 local contact

Food served on this retreat

The table

Balinese home cooking, lightened. Most meals are plant-forward with fish and free-range chicken options, built around the morning market and the lodge garden.

  • Breakfast

Tropical fruit, black rice pudding with coconut, eggs any way, strong Bali coffee or jamu.

  • The long table

Lunch and dinner are shared platters: sayur urab, grilled fish, tempeh sambal, always a vegetarian centrepiece.

  • Hydration culture

Fresh coconut and jamu (turmeric tonic) daily; filtered water refills everywhere.

Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free are native to this kitchen; tell us anything else at booking and the cook will nod calmly.

Know before you go

Ubud sits in Bali's green interior, a town of temples, rice terraces and river gorges that has been the island's healing centre for a century. Outside the busy core it turns quiet fast: our lodge is fifteen minutes north, where the ridges start.

Getting there

Fly into Denpasar (DPS). The drive to Ubud takes 60 to 90 minutes; your pickup is included and your driver will have cold water and no interest in small talk unless you do.

Worth your free time

  • Campuhan Ridge. Best free sunrise in Ubud.
  • Tirta Empul. Water temple where you can join the purification ritual; sarongs provided.
  • Ubud Art Market. Go early, bargain gently, everything halves.
  • Sayan Point. River-gorge lookout most tour buses miss.

Eat this

  • Warung tepi sawah dining. Rice-field warungs serve $3 nasi campur that beats most hotel menus.
  • Babi guling. Bali's suckling pig; the Ubud market stalls do it best before noon.
  • Sari Organik walk. Lunch you walk twenty minutes through paddies to earn.

Good to know

  • Visa on arrival for most nationalities, extendable once.
  • Grab and Gojek work in Ubud; agree prices for local drivers beyond town.
  • Dress modestly at temples; sarongs are usually lent at the gate.
  • Tap water is not potable; the lodge refills bottles free.
