What a price below the band actually means

Below roughly $130 per day, something has been removed. In order of likelihood: the private room becomes a shared dorm, meals drop from three to one, the group grows past sixteen, the teacher is unpaid and working for accommodation, or transfers and excursions are billed separately once you arrive.

Do retreats charge a single supplement for solo travellers?

Most retreats do. The typical single supplement is 30% to 60% on top of the shared-room price, which on a $2,000 week means $600 to $1,200 extra. Sola charges none: every published price already includes a room of your own.

Are solo retreats safe for women travelling alone?

Yes, and they are among the safer ways to travel alone, because the three riskiest parts of a solo trip — arrival, transport and evenings — are arranged in advance by someone accountable. The risk is not the country; it is an unvetted operator. Seven checks tell you which you are dealing with.

What is the cheapest country for a yoga retreat?

Morocco, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India and Vietnam are the cheapest, at $150 to $280 per person per day with a private room included. Morocco is the best value of the group because flights from Europe are short and cheap, so the total trip cost lands lowest.
