Affordable retreats for solo travellers
Cheap and good-value are different things. Translate every listing into a price per day and compare it to the region, because geography is most of the price: $180 a day is excellent in Thailand and impossible in Costa Rica. Below the honest band, something is being cut, and it is usually your own room.

Questions people ask
How low is too low?
Roughly a third below the regional band is where the maths stops working. At that point you are usually paying for a shared room sold as intimacy, unqualified instruction, or uninsured drivers.
Are payment plans available?
Yes. A $350 deposit holds a place, the balance is due 60 days before departure, and a three-part plan is available for a 4% fee.
Does a lower price mean a worse room?
Not on our routes. Every price we publish includes a room of your own with no single supplement, whether the week is $1,190 or $2,450.
